Scholarships

Brookfield Academy offers competitive scholarships made possible by generous donors. Scholarship testing is held each November for students entering Upper School, and additional endowed scholarship opportunities are available. 

Tuition Assistance

Need-based tuition assistance is available for qualified students through a confidential financial review process administered by Clarity, an independent third-party service. Admission decisions and tuition assistance are made separately.

  • As an Independent private school, is Brookfield Academy only accessible to families who can afford the full tuition? 

    We are committed to making a Brookfield Academy education accessible to a broad range of families. We seek to welcome engaged students and families who will contribute to and thrive in our school community. We recognize that every family’s financial situation is unique and our tuition assistance program allows us to work with families to find options that are supportive of their needs and sustainable for the school.

  • How can I afford the tuition at Brookfield Academy?

    Tuition goes solely toward the education of your child, funding programs to meet student needs. We offer a number of options including financial aid for eligible students in Middle School and Upper School as well as many competitive scholarships offered for Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School students, through the generous contributions of donors. It is best to start a conversation, so we can work together to offer the best options for your family’s particular situation.

  • How do Financial Aid and Tuition Assistance work at Brookfield Academy?

    Families apply for a confidential financial review through a third-party service, called Clarity. Based on that information, Brookfield Academy determines a tuition amount that reflects what a family can comfortably afford.
    • Awards are based on financial need and available funding.
    • Admission decisions are made separately from Financial Aid decisions.

  • Do I need to apply for financial aid every year? 

    Yes. Financial Aid is awarded each year and families receiving assistance must submit a new Clarity application each year. Even if your financial circumstances remain similar, reapplying is required to maintain eligibility. Awards may remain comparable, but a completed application is needed annually. 

  • Are there other ways to reduce tuition as I may not qualify for tuition assistance?

    Yes, we offer early pay discounts and multiple child discounts. There may also be some employment possibilities at Brookfield Academy that can help reduce the tuition costs. There are numerous scholarship opportunities for new and current students allowing for additional tuition discounts.

  • How is Tuition Assistance determined?

    Brookfield Academy's Financial Oversight Committee awards need-based tuition assistance after carefully reviewing each family's financial circumstances and the availability of tuition assistance funds.

    To be considered, families must complete an application through Clarity, an independent financial aid service that provides a comprehensive, need-based financial analysis. Using an independent provider ensures that our evaluation process follows nationally recognized best practices for determining financial need.

    All financial information and tuition assistance awards are kept strictly confidential. As members of the Brookfield Academy community, students who receive tuition assistance are expected, like all students, to work hard, demonstrate good character, and make meaningful contributions to the life of the school.

    Tuition assistance is intended to help make a Brookfield Academy education accessible to families with demonstrated financial need.
