The Trivium and Beyond
Classical education and its key elements will be the focus of this presentaiton. These are the very elements that make Brookfield Academy stand out among other schools. We will begin by unpacking what is meant by the Trivium - grammar, logic, and rhetoric - while providing examples of how the trivium is an important part of our curriculum. The history of the classical education tradition will be discussed as well as the history of today's modern education theories.

What are the Liberal Arts
The liberal arts - what they are and why they are valuable in the education of our students - will be the topic of this presentation. We will share how the liberal arts can expand one's view of the world enabling one's mind to go wherever it wants in the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. A key ingredient of a classical education, the liberal arts are treasured at Brookfield Academy. They encourage each student to grow in wonder and curiosity about the world.
