FAQ

List of 8 items.

  • What is the dinner auction?

The BA Dinner Auction is BA’s largest annual fundraiser. It is an opportunity for the BA community to socialize together while raising funds for a specific, highlighted area of need at the school.
  • What are the funds raised for this year?

This year funds from the Dinner Auction will go toward the BA Fine Arts Department.
  • When is it?

Saturday, April 30, starting at 6 pm.
  • What time should I get there?

The party starts at 6 pm! Drive up and enjoy valet parking and a special greeting as you step into a Tropical Paradise.
  • What happens during the event and when?

The night includes a variety of opportunities for good fun and conversation. Here is the timeline:

    6:00 pm - Arrival

6:00-7:30 pm - Cocktail Hour: visit the silent auction, grab a tropical drink, try your hand at some games, take fun photo in the photo booth, and buy a 50/50 raffle ticket (or 2 or 3).

7:45 pm - Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle CLOSES

7:30-8:00 pm - Last chance to charge your glass before sitting down to a delicious dinner and the evening’s program.

8:00 pm - Dinner, Program, 50/50 Raffle Winner announcement, and LIVE AUCTION begins!

Please stay and enjoy the Tropical Island DJ music and camaraderie before you check out for the night.
  • What do I wear?

Break out your most tropical attire - sandals, flip-flops, shorts, grass skirt, Hawaiian shirt, caftans, coconuts (?) - while this is island attire, we still require all pieces of clothing in order to attend! Not comfortable wearing beach attire? Feel free to wear your casual cocktail attire.
  • What about seating? Is it assigned? Can I come alone?

Seating is assigned, and this year we will be seating 8 guests per table. You may request others to sit at your table, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. You can also let us assign you a fun couple to sit with. And if you come alone, no problem. We will make sure to seat you with a fun table.
  • Can I buy 50/50 raffle tickets at the event?

YES! Raffle tickets will be available for $20 each, or a 6-pack for $100. The more tickets you buy, the larger the treasure - AND the greater chance you could be a winner!

The auction includes a variety of items at various price points. There is truly something for everyone! You will find a variety of sporting goods, items for entertaining, health and fitness goods, restaurant gift cards, food and beverages, and, of course, our wonderful level baskets!
  • What if I win something, then what!?!

Congratulations! When you are leaving the event, you will stop by the check out desk to receive a receipt and pick up your item or items.
