Lower School Recess Supervisor & After School Narnia Coordinator
Brookfield Academy, a private, independent, college preparatory day school, is seeking a full-time Lower School Recess Supervisor and After School Narnia Coordinator for the 2026-27 school year. This combined role supports the Lower School as Recess Supervisor and as a lead coordinator for the After-School Narnia program. Working hours will be 9:30 am-6:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Key responsibilities include:
Recess Supervisor
- Ensure student safety, maintain order, and enforce rules consistently
- Stay attentive and punctual
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Assist injured students and communicate disciplinary concerns to teachers and administrators
- Direct playground staff
After School Narnia Coordinator
- Supervision, instruction, and care of Level 3-5 students enrolled in the Narnia Extended Day Program.
- Maintaining individual student schedules, record after school activities, arrival times, and departure times.
- Supervising both indoor and outdoor activities of students.
- Record keeping of students hours in the program for billing purposes.
- Oversee completion of student homework and answer questions as necessary.
Additional Lower School duties include:
- Prep lunch service and ensure the correct number of lunches and portions are available
- Supervise bus students while waiting for after school bus pick-up, maintain accurate attendance records, and ensure students are boarding the correct bus
- Provide office or classroom coverage as needed
