Carpenter Event Assistant
Brookfield Academy, a private, independent, college preparatory day school, is seeking a part-time Carpenter Event Assistant for the 2025-26 school year. This part-time position will be approximately 15-20 hours per week, including some weekends. Candidates will be required to teach and lead student and parent volunteers, with the help of the Technical Theatre Coordinator.
Brookfield Academy fosters a collaborative, cooperative, professional atmosphere. The ideal candidate should be able to work in a team, support others, and take direction. In addition, candidates should have:
- Experience with building and painting theatrical scenery, wood working, metal working and rigging
- Excellent communication among our students, parents, and Design team
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred but current undergraduates enrolled in a theatre program will be considered
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry 75 lbs
