Admissions Screening

As a part of the admissions process, the applicant will be required to complete an admissions screening.

"Screening" is not as scary as it sounds. Our screening process takes a snapshot of where the child is academically and developmentally at one point in time. Typical screening activities are:

  • Level A (Pre-kindergarten): The child spends 20 minutes playing games with a teacher who watches for normal motor skills and the ability to separate from parents and to follow directions.
  • Level B (Kindergarten): The child spends 30 minutes completing math and word exercises with a teacher who assesses Level B readiness.
  • Levels 1-5: The student spends one hour completing reading, English, and math exercises.
  • Levels 6-12: The student spends approximately two hours completing a screening series, including work in math and English.

Admissions screening is always done by appointment. We offer two Saturday admissions screening dates (11/12 & 4/21). If these dates are inconvenient, please contact us and we can make other arrangements. To set up an appointment over the phone the Admissions Office at 262-783-3200.
