List of 9 frequently asked questions.

  • What is the admissions screening like?

This is an admissions placement tool that helps us determine how to help a student transition to our program. Students entering Level A (Pre-K) play games and interact with the teacher and other children to determine school readiness. Students in Level B will participate in activities that show a readiness for reading and math. All other students do exercises in reading, writing, and math.
  • When will I find out the results of my child's admissions screening?

Admissions screening results will be available three days after the screening session. Please call the Admissions Office at 262-783-3200, ext. 141, if you would like a verbal report of these results.
  • If my child is accepted, what do I do next?

You will have two weeks to send Brookfield Academy a $2,000 non-refundable tuition deposit, which will be used to hold your child's place in class. It is important to let Mrs. Mary Ricci, Director of Admissions, (262 783-3200)  know if you need more than two weeks to submit the deposit. We will consider granting an extension, but if we do not hear from you within two weeks, the space will be offered to another student.
  • What if my child is accepted, but offered a spot on the wait list?

You will have two weeks to send Brookfield Academy a $2,000 tuition deposit, which will be used to hold your child's place on the wait list. As long as your child is on the wait list, you may make a written request for the refund of this deposit, but as soon as an opening occurs, we will place your child in class and your tuition deposit then becomes non-refundable.
  • Is there anything else I should know about applying to Brookfield Academy?

Level A Program: If you have a preference for the morning or afternoon session, please submit your written request with the deposit, stating your reasons for that request. We will consider all requests but cannot guarantee the morning or afternoon session when making class assignments. A letter informing you of morning or afternoon session placement will be mailed in early June.

Financial Aid: There is a limited financial aid program for students in Levels 6 through 12. You may request the financial aid application from the Admissions Office. Scholarships are available for students in Levels 9 through 12. Scholarship testing is offered annually in November.
  • Are classes full for next year?

Some classes are close to being full. It would be a good idea to turn in your application as soon as possible. When a class becomes full, we start a wait pool and take the best overall candidate as a class opening occurs.
  • Once accepted, how do I assure my place in class?

To hold a spot in class, Brookfield Academy requires a $2,000 non-refundable tuition deposit for each enrolled student. If a student transfers to another school anytime during the year, the deposit would not be refunded, but the tuition would be prorated on a monthly basis. Students on a wait list may request a refund of the deposit up until a spot becomes available in class.
