Summer Days 2019, (Tentative) June 3 - August 2 (Closed July 1 - 5)!
Welcome to Brookfield Academy's Summer Days, where a myriad of opportunities allow young people to learn, play, discover, stretch their minds, and grow.
Our summer program draws from the school's quality teaching staff, safe environment, and beautiful campus facilities. Other individuals who are part of the program are enthusiastic teachers from wonderful outside organizations. They are excited about their partnership with Brookfield Academy, and are prepared to offer you an enjoyable and memorable summer experience. This is an ideal time to experience the Academy's teaching style, philosophy, and energy.
Brush up on writing, grammar, and math, science, reading, technology, and study skills; learn about law, economics, and medicine, earn credit for high school; and prepare for college entrance tests and writing solid college application essays. Come to be immersed in a high-level educational environment. There is no end to the learning!
Brookfield Academy sports camps are for students from ages 5-18 to make full use of our first-class athletic facilities.
Campers may choose from outdoor sports in baseball, canoeing, cricket, golf, soccer, softball, and tennis. Or, they may participate in an indoor camp such as archery, basketball, fencing, fitness training, Tae Kwon Do, and volleyball. National professional sports teams provide camps, on our campus such as the Chicago Fire, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Milwaukee Bucks.
Learn a new sport or develop your skills, led by experienced Brookfield Academy coaches and players. Every camper receives individual attention. Campers are grouped by age and ability to learn appropriate drills, skills, and techniques.
Earn 1.0 or .5 credits by successfully completing an approved credit course. Classes for credit will be offered by members of Brookfield Academy's Upper School faculty. Contact the Director, Julie.D'Arruda@brookfieldacademy.org to determine eligibility. Some classes may qualify for credit at other schools and/or colleges.
The Narnia Program extends the day for children entering K3 -8 requiring care before or after Summer Program offerings. The summer Narnia Program is available from 7:30 until 9:00 and then again from 3:30 until 5:30.
Our action-packed day camp program is designed to keep children entering K3 – K5 engaged mentally and physically. Fun-filled days in a safe environment combined with enthusiastic instruction await each camper. Day camps are offered in five different one-week sessions, with a new theme each week. Register for one or more sessions. Every session includes literature appreciation, art, music, and outdoor activities.
Explore a hobby, build a clock, learn to cook and sew, play fun games, improve technology skills, explore the culture of another country, become a scientist, detective, or magician, go on field trips, or learn how to do something you've never tried before. The sky's the limit!
This is a week dedicated to community service. Students learn the importance and satisfaction of giving back to those in our neighborhood by gathering donations, giving of their time, and going on the Service Project Field Trips! We will take a private bus to our destination so students will see, in person, how the people/animals we visit benefit from our donations and our time. These classes are no charge to interested students, thanks to the generosity of Brookfield Academy parents and their businesses who have underwritten the cost of transportation for students and all necessary materials/supplies.
