College Counseling Office

Greetings from the College Counseling Office!

The work of our office is quite simple: it is the culmination of Brookfield Academy fulfilling its Mission of preparing students for college and life. The efforts undertaken here, in coordination with students, parents, and faculty, ensure that the education our students have received finds a place to continue to grow and develop. Our graduates pursue higher education at a college or university that suits the interests, talents, and abilities they have developed as a student at Brookfield Academy.

Utilizing decades of college counseling and admission experience, we work closely with each student and family in order to navigate the full scope of the college search, application, and selection process.

Brookfield Academy graduates continue their studies at all manner of institutions across the country, and world. From large public research universities to small private liberal arts and science colleges, and everything in between, our graduates are prepared to undertake the rigors of post-secondary education at the finest institutions.

Our work is a four year process, aiding the growth and development taking place in the classroom. This ensures that a Brookfield Academy graduate has a deeper understanding of one’s self, their strengths and weaknesses, their interests and passions. This understanding results in a successful transition from our school to college and life.

Warmest regards,

Nick Spaeth
Director of College Counseling
Moving from high school to college is one of life's most important journeys. Our College Counseling Program helps each Brookfield Academy student travel through the process with confidence and success.
We believe each young person is unique with his or her own passions and talents; therefore, our goal is to help and inspire every student to find colleges that match these personal qualities. We also believe parents are important partners in the process of planning for their students' futures. We involve them in each step of the process; individual and group parent meetings are frequently scheduled.

"It is important to show students that the whole world is open to them. We give them no reason to think otherwise."

Congratulations, Class of 2021!

Brookfield Academy proudly hosted a graduation ceremony for the 68 students of the Class of 2021. This is the 51st senior class in the history of Brookfield Academy!
They are ranked among the best scholars in the nation; they have been recognized as amazing athletes; and they have won countless awards for their efforts on our stages, on our athletic fields, and in our classrooms. Thirty-seven of this year's graduates are "BA Lifers," having started their educational journey in our Primary School and Lower School. Best wishes to our graduates as they continue their educational journey. Our graduates leave Brookfield Academy having been accepted at many fine colleges and universities.
