Brookfield Academy opened its doors for the
school year on Tuesday, September 7 to a record enrollment. The
number of BA students enrolled on the first day was 863, up 58
students from the first day of school a year ago.
Split into two buildings for the first time, the Lower School
has an enrollment of 382 students. The Levels A-2 students remained
in the familiar Constitution Hall, while the Levels 3-5 students
populated Liberty Hall for the first time.
Middle school, now occupying Freedom Hall, had 207 students
filling its halls. New classrooms, larger spaces and the use of two
gymnasiums are among the highlights for the new middle school
students.
For the first time, Patriots Hall was open on the first day of
school. The building houses 274 students, many of whom are
Freshman. The ninth-grade class accounts for 82 students, the
largest single grade enrollment in school history.
