Brookfield Academy welcomes grandparents and other special
guests to spend the morning at school on Friday, Oct. 2. After 8:15
a.m. morning assembly, breakfast will be served in the Freedom Hall
gym at 8:30 a.m., followed by a program of patriotic songs and
poems presented by students. Classroom visits begin at 10 a.m.
Students always take great delight in showing their grandparents
and other special guests what they are learning in school.
An annual event, Grandparents Day brings more than 400
grandparents, great-grandparents, and special friends to Brookfield
Academy, where they are transported about the campus on golf carts
driven by volunteers. In the past, grandparents have traveled from
as far away as South Africa and India to attend this event.
Founders of Brookfield Academy will be represented among the
great-grandparents in attendance.
Lower and Middle School students are dismissed at noon, allowing
them time to spend the afternoon with their guests. The Narnia and
MAP programs are available for students who need to spend the
afternoon on campus.
