The Five Star Legacy Endowment Fund

The Five Star Legacy Endowment Fund, established in 2001, is an exciting program for helping the Academy meet its mission.

The Academy Board of Directors has long understood that assuring excellence of its program is the top institutional priority. To assure program excellence, the Academy must continue to attract the best possible faculty and provide a learning environment in modern, well-maintained facilities that support the mission and help all students reach their highest potential. Building an endowment assures the Academy's ability to properly meet its objectives today and in the future.

The Five Stars guide the Legacy Fund, as in all areas of Brookfield Academy. Freedom and flexibility allow the annual expenditures of three to five percent of the fund's value to be used in numerous ways and in various areas of the institution.

Examples of areas that may be funded by the endowment are:

  • Scholarships
  • Facilities
  • Technology
  • Faculty
  • Academic disciplines
  • Athletics
  • Student activities
The goal for managing the endowment fund is to provide prudent long-term investment of funds, based on the belief that grants made in the future are as important as grants made today.
