Due to the generous support of more than 1,000 donors and countless volunteers, the Soar with the Stars...A Stellar Opportunity capital campaign recently reached the $12.5 million goal.

The campus-wide capital campaign, begun in 2005, is dedicated to providing all Brookfield Academy students with the facilities necessary to support programs that will prepare them to fulfill the mission of the Academy. A major component of the plan is the construction of Patriots Hall, a new home for the Upper School, scheduled for completion by January 2010.

At the heart of Brookfield Academy is the academic experience we provide hundreds of students year after year. The experience is complemented by an array of athletic, extracurricular, and arts opportunities allowing each student to develop to his or her full potential. All of these experiences will be sustained and bolstered through the campaign initiatives.

Soar with the Stars is the largest campaign in school history. In addition to $12.5 million in short-term pledges, estate gifts of $2.5 million have been earmarked for future long-term costs associated with the project. All together, six leadership gifts at or above $1 million each have been pledged. Participation by faculty and staff members, whether full- or part-time, is 100%.

What’s Next?

For the 2009-10 school year:

  • Complete construction of Patriots Hall
  • Continue to raise funds for furnishings and equipment
  • Accept gifts for dedication opportunties
  • Finalize plans for renovations to other campus buildings

Make a Pledge
Gifts of cash, appreciated stock, life insurance or other planned gifts, and other types of appreciated assets (such as property) are all welcome. Pledges may be paid annually, quarterly, or monthly, over the three to five years of the campaign. Pledge Form.
