Soar with the Stars… A Stellar Opportunity
In 2005, Brookfield Academy's Board of Directors approved a campus-wide capital campaign, Soar with the Stars...A Stellar Opportunity, dedicated to providing all our student stars with the facilities necessary to support programs that will prepare them to fulfill the mission of Brookfield Academy. At the heart of Brookfield Academy is the academic experience we provide hundreds of students year after year. The experience is complemented by an array of athletic, extracurricular, and arts opportunities allowing each student to develop to his or her full potential. All of these experiences will be sustained and bolstered through the campaign initiatives. The largest campaign in school history, Soar with the Stars seeks to raise $12.5 million in pledges over three to five years. This exciting vision has already generated over $11 million in short-term pledges. In addition, $2.5 million in estate gifts has been earmarked for any future long-term costs associated with the project. All together, six leadership gifts at or above $1 million each have been pledged. Participation by faculty and staff members, whether full- or part-time, is 100%. An anonymous donor has issued a motivating challenge: When short-term campaign pledges reach $12 million, the donor will make a $500,000 gift to "finish" Phase I of the campaign. Our challenge: Achieve $12 million!
